Supposed Emotional Support Dog Attacks 5-Year-Old At Airport

A mom, Mirna Gonzalez has filed a $1.1 million lawsuit against a pit bull owner and Alaska Airlines after she says the animal violently bit her 5-year-old daughter's face while at Portland International Airport.

The lawsuit says the incident took place December 18th 2017 waiting waiting at the gate for a flight to Texas.

The accused woman, Michelle Brannan, is accused of entering the waiting area with her pit bull when Mirna's then 5-year-old daughter Gabriella asked to pet the dog. While petting the dog, it bit her face causing serious injuries.

From the lawsuit:

“As a result of the incident, Gabriella Gonzalez suffered injury to the muscles, tendons, bones, nerves and soft tissue of her face, eye, eyelid, tear duct and lip, as well as emotional trauma,”

The injuries left permanent scarring and according to the lawsuit “required surgery to repair complex facial lacerations and a damaged tear duct, and has incurred medical expenses and will incur future medical expenses.”
