Record Setting Swordfish Reeled In By Florida Couple

Here's a story that makes Mr. Fisherman Barry Beck jealous.

Bill and Debbie Lussier set a Florida record by pulling in a 757.8 pound swordfish last month. The Captain of the boat Nick Stanczyk detailed the story in the Facebook post below.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the previous record was a 612 pounder back in May 1978.

The world record however still belongs to a fisherman who caught at 1,182-pound swordfish off the coast of Chile back in 1953.
