I can not be alone here right? I am a level headed man who works in the entertainment industry and THAT WAS SOME BAD ACTING! That was no Husband protecting his wife or a Comedian making a bad joke it was (Hollywood) and all of them IN ON IT. They all want us to believe this "hit" Will Smith gave Chris Rock was real!
If you look at the FULL VIDEO (NSFW) you will see that something changed quickly between the initial joke and an off camera look form Jada. Do you still think Will was a good husband or took it too far? Everyone is either #teamwill or #teamrock but the fact still remains that IT WAS A JOKE! You were the punchline and fell for it hook line and sinker! PERIOD! They needed a Kanye Taylor Swift moment... 10 years ago!
Looking back at other things said by people like Chris Rock not only tonight but at other Oscars it leads me (a skeptic) to believe something else is at work here. Last time the Oscars were on they garnered about 9 million viewers. Embarrassing for Hollywood's biggest night. Down from 40 million just a few years ago. Two decades ago it was like the Super bowl!
The Oscars USED to be an event, They USED to be worth watching before every wealthy person in a private jet gave their opinions about how average people should live. It became political and people ARE SICK OF IT! Nobody goes to the movies, cares about Versace dresses they can not afford or what TMZ has to say because that's not real life. Gas is 5 bucks a gallon and a little thing called life happens everyday!
They want us to talk about this. They want us to ask if Will was a good husband or Chris was a jerk for saying something about Jada's alopecia. Thing is these guys in the past were friends. This is NOT about honoring your wife (although it should be) or making an insensitive joke (Dave Chappelle) this was about ratings and interest.
As someone who works in the entertainment industry I get it. You were the bell of the ball once and now your lucky to be the bell of the barn. To this show (Rizzo and Jeff) and this Radio Host this was NOTHING BUT A PUBLICITY STUNT to get an otherwise tired, boring and outdated night of rich people celebrating themselves into watercooler talk on a Monday. Boy did it work, here we are talking and here I am writing!
DONT FALL FOR IT! This was PLANNED! You heard it here first! We will discuss this tomorrow on the show but do not fall for it. Losing 60% of your audience makes people do crazy things! I have seen it before!
I am #teamprteam because they win the night! Nice job guys and gals, it took a manufactured punch, off color joke and an eye roll and the world is talking about your otherwise unrelatable BORING SHOW!
